This is lovely Olive 🧡🤍
She recently visited our Tonbridge Surgery as the owner had noticed she was painful around her mouth when touched.

🦷On examination it was noted that Olive had some tartar on her teeth and gingivitis on her gums as well as some wobbly teeth so a dental procedure with extractions was required.

🧡🤍As is quite common in Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Olive has a heart murmur. This can be a sign of a disease called Myxomatous Mitral Valve Disease (MMVD) and therefore we needed to confirm that her heart was functioning well enough for us to perform a general anaesthetic safely.

🩺Here you can see Vet Abi performing the heart scan and RVN Sophie assisting. Olive is such a well behaved, gentle girl so Abi was able to get the images she needed to confirm that Olive was fit for an anaesthetic!

🦷A few days later Olive came for her dental procedure and here you can see her very relaxed on the dental table ready for her procedure and also some before and after photos of her now sparkling clean teeth! Olive has returned to us for her post operative check with Sophie and her mouth has healed beautifully.

Meet Magic 🧡🤎
She recently visited Vet, Lauren on a Saturday afternoon at our Meopham Hospital following an injury whilst out on a walk.

🚨She presented with a fairly substantial sized stick protruding from the inside of her hind leg.

Magic was examined but the decision was quickly made that she required sedation, which the owner consented to.

Once Magic was asleep the area was thoroughly clipped and cleaned, Lauren successfully removed the stick and was satisfied that all fragments were identified and removed. The area was once again cleaned and Magic was woken up.

The decision was made not to place stitches in the area, due to the nature and position of the wound it would likely not heal with stitches in place and so was left to heal by second intention with granulation tissue over the following weeks.

🧡🤎We are pleased to report that after 3 weeks the area has significantly reduced in size and Magic is almost fully recovered.

I would like to thank the vet Bruce McLeary, and all the nurses at Meopham vets for all their quick and caring response, to my bitch Misty who had an emergency caesarian today and looked after my bitch and her pups fantastically thank you to you all

Ms Sankey

To all pet owners looking for the very best in vet advice and care then book your pet in here, we have used The Swanscombe & Meopham Surgeries since 2006 after re-homing our Sophie from Cats Protection & the rest of her life was never free from health problems. When Sophie had to stay in at the vets I visited her daily & the cages were spotless, clean blankets & nurses on continual attendance. We can't say enough about all the staff, they treated her like a part of their family.

Maureen & Tom Partridge

Thank you to all at Meopham Veterinary Hospital for looking after Ted & Hector as well as if they were your own puppies. I always know that they will get the best care, and am sure Ted would not be here at all if it weren't for you guys. Ted & Hector are the light of our lives, so your exemplary care of them is, to us, priceless. Thank you.

The Robinson family

Great skills, great care, great service and understanding.

I have been a client, with my various dogs, since 1999 and can honestly say that I have been totally satisfied with Meopham Vets throughout this time. The care and consideration shown to our dogs has been amazing. I usually try to see Martin as I have known him so long, but I have no objection to seeing any of the vets as they all have the same qualities, especially Bruce. The nurses are all wonderful and over the years I have become close to some of them and have watched as they have developed their careers under the guidance of Martin. The reception / office staff are brilliant too and I have never had a problem getting appointments. The out of hours service is second to none. My dogs throughout their lives have been looked after and loved by all the staff and when it has come to the final goodbyes they and I have been treated with amazing sensitivity and kindness. In a nutshell, I could not recommend this practice highly enough.

Mrs Bateman

A big thank you for looking after our pets over the years, all 22 of them! We think you can all perform miracles. In sad times the impossible cannot always we done but you have all given us the strength and helped us to cope once again. Thank you all.

Mrs Kinch

Service is always the best. Everyone cares for your pet as if it's their own.

Mrs Parker

Absolutely first class care, always.

Mrs Hocking

Freddie has completed 10 hydrotherapy sessions following TPLO surgery to repair his ruptured cruciate ligament. Freddie is now back to his normal self and has regained his strength which exceeded all our expectations. He has suffered with bad skin for years and we were worried that the sessions would have a detrimental effect however his skin has never been better! He now enjoys coming into the vets and he adores hydrotherapist Amy! We are thrilled with his progress and would thoroughly recommend hydrotherapy to others.

Mrs Cooper

Thank you all on behalf of ESSW for the wonderful care and superb treatment that Eesha has received over the last weeks. She is such a lovely girl and truly deserved every bit of it!
